About The Position
DT-Trak Consulting Inc. is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist for a full-time locum tenens opportunity with the Indian Health Service at Fort Yuma Health Clinic in Winterhaven, California. This is an onsite outpatient behavioral health position serving Native American communities in a collaborative, mission-driven healthcare environment. The selected provider will deliver comprehensive psychiatric services while working alongside an interdisciplinary healthcare team. Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
- Current DEA registration
- Minimum two years of psychiatry experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- Eligible for credentialing and privileging through the Indian Health Service
- Ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Unrestricted Physician License (Required)
- DEA Registration (Required)
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry (Required)
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in Tribal Health, Indian Health Service, Veterans Affairs, Federal Healthcare, Community Health Centers, or Rural Health settings
- Experience serving culturally diverse patient populations
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Previous locum tenens experience
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Manage psychotropic medications
- Provide follow-up psychiatric care
- Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health providers, and nursing staff
- Document patient encounters within the electronic health record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings
- Provide consultation and support to clinical staff as needed
