About The Position

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with Queens Hospital Center, serving the culturally diverse community within Queens, is seeking a full-time board certified/board eligible Psychiatrist for their ACT program. All faculty have an academic appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Requirements

• Board certified/board eligible Psychiatrist
• Understanding of the treatment of severe and persistent mental illness
• Knowledgeable about the ACT model of care
• Current New York State License
• Medicaid number
• DEA number

Responsibilities

• The ACT psychiatrist is part of a multidisciplinary team and has overall clinical responsibility for monitoring client treatment and staff delivery of clinical services.
• The ACT psychiatrist provides psychiatric assessment and treatment in the community and coordinates the client’s medical care with their psychiatric treatment.
• This is a full-time position with 32 hours in ACT and 8 hours in the CPEP.
• Queens Hospital Center has a Residency Training Program with opportunities to teach and mentor psychiatry residents and medical students.
