Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and highly skilled Part-Time Psychiatrist (20 hours/week) to join our innovative Crisis Services team. In this in-person daytime role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adults in our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), conducting psychiatric assessments, medication evaluations, medication management, and substance use treatment while partnering with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, prescribers, clinicians, and case managers dedicated to delivering exceptional crisis care. Supported by fellow prescribers who provide coverage during off-hours, you will play a vital role in helping individuals navigate acute mental health and substance use challenges in a state-of-the-art, five-day overnight stabilization program. When CSU census allows, you will also support the Psychiatric Access Clinic, providing timely evaluations and treatment for individuals needing rapid access to care. The ideal candidate is an empathetic clinician, lifelong learner, and experienced medical leader who is passionate about serving individuals in crisis, values teamwork, enjoys solving complex clinical and systems-level challenges, and is committed to advancing recovery-oriented, person-centered behavioral health care.
