About The Position

Northeast Counseling Services is seeking a Crisis Stabilization Unit Coordinator to help lead the daily operations of our new 24/7 Crisis Stabilization Walk-In Unit. This role will make a lasting impact on individuals experiencing mental health crises. The Coordinator will assist in overseeing the clinical and administrative operations of the Crisis Stabilization Unit during daytime business hours. This position provides leadership, clinical support, and operational oversight while ensuring high-quality, person-centered crisis services for adults, children, and adolescents.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related Field from an accredited college or university with one year experience in mental health direct care, OR a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university with ten years' experience.
Working knowledge of the philosophy, concepts, mandates and operations of community mental health services.
Proficient in writing and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interact with the public including clients and their families, local law enforcement officials, medical personnel and representatives of other human services agencies.
Ability to be flexible and adjust to abrupt changes in daily scheduling.
Firm understanding of crisis intervention techniques.
Successful completion of an FBI Clearance, PA Criminal Clearance and Child Abuse Clearance.

Nice To Haves

At least two years supervisory experience.
