The Student Health Care Center at the University of Florida is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) non-tenure track Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor faculty psychiatrist to join its psychiatry team, which includes MDs and psychiatric Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). This role involves providing comprehensive psychiatric care to UF students with diverse mental health challenges, including general mental health disorders, trauma, eating disorders, and substance abuse disorders. The position also requires maintaining clinical records and participating in after-hours psychiatric emergency services for the UF student community. The psychiatrist will collaborate with various campus entities to help students achieve optimal health and academic success. The role operates with independence, guided by the Director of the SHCC, while working closely with a team of medical professionals. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications. UF Student Health Care Psychiatry (SHP) is committed to addressing mental, emotional, and behavioral conditions through psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, coordination of care, and medication management, embracing a Collaborative Care Model. The SHCC is fully accredited by the AAAHC and is located in a state-of-the-art WELL-certified building on UF’s campus, offering a range of medical services.
