The Assistant Chief Medical Director leads multidisciplinary treatment teams, promotes timely and appropriate discharge planning, ensures compliance with medical, regulatory, and documentation standards, and champions effective use of the electronic health record. The position requires participation in MOD second on-call coverage. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or four 10.5-hour days. Central State Hospital’s new facility is under construction on the same property, with completion scheduled for August 2027.
