About The Position
Incumbent is responsible for providing patient care in an assigned neuropsychiatry unit by carrying out individualized treatment plans that have been established for each patient.
Requirements
- Preventative Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) within 30 days of hire
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Psychiatric Technician
- Knowledge of psychotropic medications and affects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated ability to apply logic and reasoning to identify when something is wrong or likely to go wrong, as well as alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to situations
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Psychiatric Technician license
- Basic Life Support certification
- Must be able to provide proof of work authorization
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in a mental health clinical setting, with the mentally ill
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
