About The Position
Helio Health is seeking a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist to provide rehabilitation services to patients as part of their overall treatment for substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. This is a Full-Time position based out of Helio Health’s Outpatient Program, with some work expected in the community. The role offers a Sign-On incentive up to $1,500 in addition to Helio Health’s comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree required.
- One to three years of employment experience working with individuals with substance use and serious mental health disorders.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications.
- An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the educational requirements.

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a case load.
- Perform primary psychiatric rehabilitation including screening, intake, orientation, evaluation, referral, patient education, case management, reporting and record keeping, discharge planning, and consultation with other professionals.
- Assist with the training of staff, volunteers and student interns as assigned.
- Exhibit exemplary knowledge of the biopsychosocial process of substance use disorders/recovery, behavioral health, self-help group processes, and principles of counseling.
- Relate effectively with staff, patients, and professional community while upholding appropriate standards of confidentiality.
