About The Position

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking Psychiatric Registered Nurses for travel/contract positions in Centre Hall, PA. This role involves providing all aspects of Psychiatric Nursing care for patients in assigned psych units, including inpatient adult and adolescent units, with the possibility of floating to other units. The nurse will be responsible for assessing patients' physical and behavioral health needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, administering medications, and participating in multidisciplinary treatment planning.

Requirements

2+ years of Recent/Current Inpatient Acute Psychiatric Nursing experience
Comfortable and willing to work with children, adolescents, adults & older adult patient population
ASN or an equivalent – Required
RN License for State of PA (for candidates residing in PA) or Compact RN License (for Out-of-state candidates) - Required
BLS Certification from AHA - Required

Nice To Haves

BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
CPI or HWC Certification - Preferred

Responsibilities

Provide all aspects of Psychiatric Nursing care for patients in assigned psych units.
Provide care for inpatient adult and adolescent units and float to other units if required.
Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
Develop and implement nursing care plans.
Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, planning and establishing outcomes, implementation, and evaluation.
Accurately and promptly implements physicians’ orders.
Prepares, administers, and records medications in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications.
Records information concisely, accurately and completely.
Participates in multidisciplinary treatment planning and revises plan of care based on assessment.
