Part Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Fee For Service

Thriveworks•Virginia Beach, VA
•$65,000 - $94,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Thriveworks is seeking a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who lives in Virginia to provide mental health care in Virginia Beach. This fee-for-service W-2 position pays $65,000–$94,000 per year based on 15–20 clinical hours per week. Care is provided through an ongoing combination of in-person and telemedicine services to a diverse population, primarily adults and adolescents, with a willingness to treat clients age 14 and older. Thriveworks does not push or incentivize stimulant medications; prescribing decisions are left to the clinician based on each client’s symptoms and diagnosis. The organization does not currently treat substance use disorders and aims to refer clients to in-person providers when symptoms are too severe for telemedicine alone. Clinicians complete in-house training and a certification exam on Thriveworks’ ADHD treatment standards, guidelines, and approach. New hires are enrolled in the ADHD Clinic and are expected to treat ADHD clients, with no quotas for clients or prescriptions. The organization describes itself as a clinician-founded and clinician-led mental health provider with more than 340 locations and a nationwide hybrid care model. Thriveworks offers remote medical assistant support, guaranteed bi-weekly pay, paid orientation and credentialing, paid malpractice coverage, annual pay increases, bonus opportunities, professional development and case consultation groups, schedule flexibility, no-show protection, no required on-call, and clinical support.
