Part Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Fee For Service

Thriveworks•Richmond, VA
•$65,000 - $94,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Thriveworks is seeking a part-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Richmond, Virginia. This fee-for-service W-2 position pays $65,000–$94,000 per year based on 15–20 clinical hours per week. Clinicians must be licensed and reside in the state where they practice. The role includes providing care in person and via telemedicine to a diverse client population, primarily adults and adolescents, with a future focus on expanding care across the lifespan. Clients may present with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other mental health conditions. The organization does not currently treat substance use disorders and refers clients to in-person providers when symptoms are too severe for telemedicine. Prescribing decisions are left to the clinician; stimulant medications are offered based on a client’s symptoms and diagnosis rather than promoted or incentivized. New hires complete in-house training on ADHD treatment standards, guidelines, and approach, followed by a certification exam. New hires are enrolled in the ADHD Clinic and expected to treat ADHD clients, with no quotas for client numbers or prescriptions. Thriveworks describes itself as a clinician-founded and clinician-led mental health provider with more than 340 locations and a nationwide hybrid care model. It serves over 175,000 clients annually through more than 1.7 million sessions.
