About The Position

Austin Oaks Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their dynamic team. The hospital offers a continuum of psychiatric services for adolescents (ages 12-17) and adults (age 18+), including an exclusive women’s wellness program. The role involves managing a caseload of approximately 15 patients per day, allowing for meaningful interactions and work-life balance. The position is based in Austin, Texas, and offers a supportive environment focused on crisis resolution, self-awareness, personal growth, and professional excellence. The hospital provides inpatient programs, specialized services for Women’s Wellness and Addiction/Detox, and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) & Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).

Requirements

NP degree from an accredited and recognized program.
Post graduate PMHNP certificate.
Current Texas APRN license in good standing.
Meet all credentialing criteria required by participating providers.
3+ years prior PMHNP work experience (clinical rotations and preceptor hours not included).

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of an average of 15 patients per day.
Provide care in an Inpatient Adult / Women’s Specialty or Adolescent setting.
Optional PHP/IOP work available in the afternoons.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to innovative and compassionate mental health care.
