About The Position

Join FAVOR MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES in Bel Air, Maryland, as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with telehealth flexibility and requires in-person patient care in Bel Air at least one day per week. Scheduling is flexible based on mutually agreed-upon availability and patient demand. Compensation is $100 per completed 60-minute initial psychiatric evaluation and $50 per completed 30-minute medication-management follow-up. Payment is based exclusively on completed patient-facing clinical services; administrative time, cancellations, no-shows, and unfilled appointment slots are not compensated unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Requirements

Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health.
Current Nurse Practitioner license in Maryland.
Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
At least 2 years of experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Eligibility for credentialing and participation with the practice's contracted insurance networks.
Successful completion of required criminal background checks, license verification, professional reference checks, and credentialing verification.
Disclosure of applicable reportable professional history and successful completion of National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) review. Adverse reports, disciplinary actions, malpractice payments, or credentialing concerns must be satisfactorily resolved or explained before engagement.
No current license restrictions or unresolved credentialing issues that would prevent providing services or participating with the practice's insurance networks.
Ability to provide in-person services in Bel Air at least once weekly.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications with a focus on patient safety.
Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals and groups.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and care.
