Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - WellConnect / SAGE

Downtown Emergency Service Center•Seattle, WA

About The Position

DESC is hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide outreach-based behavioral health care to clients in DESC supportive housing programs. The position is divided between WellConnect, an intensive behavioral-health-within-housing startup program modeled on assertive community treatment and focused on clients with high behavioral health needs, and SAGE, DESC’s largest outpatient longitudinal behavioral health program. The WellConnect portion is securely funded for 14 months, with anticipated long-term sustainability after the pilot period. The role is expected to work two days per week with WellConnect (Tuesday and Wednesday highly preferred) and three days per week with SAGE. SAGE is both clinic- and housing-based, but this role will predominantly work with multidisciplinary teams to engage and see clients in supportive housing. The Nurse Practitioner works alongside psychiatric nurses, case managers, social workers, substance use disorder professionals, peer specialists, and support staff, and collaborates with psychiatric and medical providers. The role provides care to people experiencing severe mental illness and often co-occurring substance use disorders, using evidence-based approaches to improve outcomes. It is supervised by the Outpatient Psychiatric Provider Supervisor. The position is full-time, with an office-day shift and Saturdays and Sundays off. Compensation is $160,836.00–$177,575.76 annually. DESC offers medical, dental, life, and long-term disability insurance; an Employee Assistance Program, Flexible Spending Account, ORCA card subsidy, 34 days of paid time off per year, and a retirement plan. The position is represented by SEIU Healthcare 1199NW.
