About The Position

Monte Nido & Affiliates is hiring a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for Rosewood Ranch in Wickenburg, Arizona. The organization provides evidence-based eating disorder treatment for adults and adolescents through a multidisciplinary approach that integrates medical, psychiatric, nutritional, and clinical care in an intimate home setting.

This is a full-time, onsite position requiring care Monday through Friday, with flexibility. The practitioner will provide psychiatric assessments and follow-up medication management for an average census of 20 clients, typically seeing each client one to two times per week. The role also includes participation in treatment team meetings, collaboration with multidisciplinary staff, and insurance peer-to-peer reviews as needed.

Requirements

• At least a master's degree in Advanced Practice Nursing on a PMHNP track from an accredited program.
• Board certification by the ANCC as a PMHNP.
• Current license as an APRN or PCNS, or eligibility for licensure.
• Must hold or obtain a CPR/BLS certificate before providing services.

Nice To Haves

• Experience is highly desired; clinical rotations and/or practica are considered clinical experience.
• New graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations.
• Meet weekly with patients for ongoing follow-up sessions.
• Maintain current and accurate progress notes.
• Manage psychotropic medications.
• Collaborate with the full treatment team as needed.
• Communicate with referring providers and family members as appropriate.
• Provide patient-specific input for discharge planning.
• Maintain compliance with standards set by agencies overseeing the facility and practice within the scope of a PMHNP.
• Answer urgent questions from the team when not onsite and/or after hours.
• Provide psychiatric assessments and follow-up medication management visits.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff.
• Conduct insurance peer-to-peer reviews as needed.
