About The Position

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides patient evaluation and treatment, medication management, case conferencing, and in-service training for staff. The position contributes to the incident review committee and training committee, participates in outside conferences, and provides emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed. Other related duties may be assigned. The role reports to the VP of Nursing.

The position is part-time, working 7.5 hours per week on Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at MAP in the Bronx, New York.

Requirements

• NYS certification as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
• Prior experience working with a MICA population.
• CPR training certification or willingness to take a CPR training class.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients.
• Manage medications.
• Participate in case conferencing.
• Provide in-service training to staff.
• Provide input to the incident review committee and training committee.
• Participate in outside conferences.
• Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
