Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
Monte Nido & Affiliates is seeking a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide onsite care at Rosewood Ranch in Wickenburg, Arizona. This part-time position requires onsite care with flexibility. The organization provides evidence-based, multidisciplinary treatment for adults and adolescents with eating disorders, combining medical, psychiatric, nutritional, and clinical strategies in an intimate home setting. The PMHNP will provide psychiatric assessments and follow-up medication management for an average census of 20 clients, seen one to two times per week. The role also includes participating in treatment team meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary staff, and conducting insurance peer-to-peer reviews as needed. The practitioner must maintain compliance with applicable oversight standards and practice within the scope of a PMHNP.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Advanced Practice Nursing on a PMHNP track, at minimum, from an accredited program.
- Board certification by the ANCC as a PMHNP.
- Current license as an APRN or PCNS, or eligibility to obtain a license.
- Must hold or obtain CPR/BLS certification before providing services.
Nice To Haves
- Experience is highly desired; clinical rotations and/or practica are considered clinical experience.
- New graduates are welcome.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations.
- Meet weekly with patients for ongoing follow-up sessions.
- Maintain current and accurate progress notes.
- Manage psychotropic medications.
- Collaborate with the full treatment team as needed.
- Communicate with referring providers and family members as appropriate.
- Provide patient-specific input for discharge planning.
- Maintain compliance with standards set by agencies overseeing the facility and practice within the scope of a PMHNP.
- Answer urgent questions from the team when off-site and/or after hours.
- Provide psychiatric assessments and follow-up medication management visits.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff.
- Conduct insurance peer-to-peer reviews as needed.
