About The Position
TeamHealth has an exciting opportunity to grow your career as a dual-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and primary care nurse practitioner in an acute inpatient setting at Knoxville Center for Behavioral Medicine in the Knoxville, TN area. Requirements
- PMHNP-BC and FNP or other primary care NP
- Active, unrestricted Tennessee license as a PMHNP and FNP
- Active DEA
- Minimum of 1-year experience as a PMHNP and FNP provider, preferably in an in-patient setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric patient care to adults (18+) in an inpatient setting
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations
- Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Evaluate behavioral and safety concerns
- Provide interventions and behavioral management
- Medical management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings.
