Mental Health Professional (MHP) Overnight Shift
About The Position
Mental Health Professional (MHP) provides group and individual psychiatric rehabilitative and case management services to adults with a history of multiple psychiatric hospitalizations and in need of long-term care stabilization. You will participate with the interdisciplinary teams in developing and implementing therapeutic services and interventions. Bourbonnais Terrace is a Specialized Mental Health and Rehab Facility (SMHRF), providing care to the non-aggressive (adult) mentally ill/behavior health population. The Administrator often says, “Our focus is recovery and rehabilitation”. Our turnover rate is one of the lowest in the industry here; people join us and they become family. We are JACHO accredited. This is not a SNF – things are a little easier for you here. Our patients are independent, do not require lifting and are very interactive. The National Association of Rehab Providers & Agencies (NARA) awarded Transitional Care Management their “Impact Award” for 2023 for our Life Skills Programming. This center is using that very same “Life Skills Program” and changing lives every day. It’s so much more than what your current Psych/Social team is doing now!
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field (including but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling or psychology) and have a minimum of 1 year of supervised experience in mental health or human services.
- Minimum qualifications are an unrelated Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years in a mental health profession/role or a high school diploma and 5 or more years in the mental health profession with clinical supervision.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a PRSC or mental health professional in a licensed nursing home, intermediate care facility, or specialized mental health rehab facility is preferred
- Experience with Point Click Care (PCC) is ideal, but not required
