About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join its team at 1303 McCullough Avenue - Suite 161, San Antonio, Texas. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and representing the company to patients. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position may involve travel to additional sites as needed and overtime as needed. PSTs may be eligible to participate in a quarterly incentive bonus program based on performance metrics. Labcorp provides opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record if applicable.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

• One year or more of experience as a phlebotomist.
• One year of pediatrics experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
