About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join its team in the San Antonio, Texas area. The role performs blood collection and related specimen collection, patient information entry, specimen preparation, billing support, and customer service. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with travel to additional sites when needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfort working under minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Reliable transportation for travel to additional sites when needed.

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy certification or completion of a phlebotomy training program.
One year or more of experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and similar purposes.
Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
Travel to additional sites when needed; reliable transportation is required.
