About The Position

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries. The PSS Regional Manager - Northwest will manage business operations for multiple scientific teams in the Pacific Northwest (Washington and Colorado). This role involves leading direct reports, group leaders, and their teams, and serving clients in technical settings like laboratories or manufacturing facilities. The manager will collaborate with clients to meet their resourcing and technical needs, ensuring high-quality service from PSS staff. Responsibilities include regular meetings with direct reports, the Eurofins department, and client management, disseminating administrative communications and policies, and managing financial responsibilities as defined by the Director. The role requires demonstrating and promoting the company vision, proactively planning and multitasking to maximize productivity, drive efficiency, and increase value for clients. Developing and meeting quality and productivity metrics, along with demonstrating strong teamwork and collaboration, are essential. The manager will oversee employee reviews, development, and performance processes, coaching and developing staff to enhance skills and ensure a strong succession plan. Organizing technical resources and staff to accomplish client goals within deadlines, ensuring adherence to the highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations, and maximizing team performance through Operational Excellence are key duties. Proactively identifying and managing risk to the business and ensuring operational resiliency are also important. The role involves assisting Senior Leadership with business operations, client and team governance, and new business development as needed, while staying current in science and technology to consult knowledgeably with clients and fostering morale and teamwork.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Biotechnical Sciences, Engineering, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience
At least 5 years of experience leading direct reports
Scientific background with hands on laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical, clinical, or GMP laboratory setting
Ability to travel locally within the Seattle area frequently. Other travel up to 5% of the time
Demonstrate strong client service skills, client relationship management, and teamwork, and collaboration
Regular attendance and punctuality
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Strong leadership, initiative, and teambuilding skills
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

Manage business operations for multiple scientific teams in Pacific NW (Washington and Colorado)
