About The Position

The PSS/Care Associate provides assistance to residents in the Assisted Living Program with activities of daily living, helping residents maintain a quality life, independence, and dignity. The role includes supporting residents with medication reminders, personal care, escort services, and emotional and social needs. Associates follow residents’ schedules as set by a supervisor, document assistance in daily logs, and inform supervisors of resident issues or concerns while maintaining confidentiality. Available shifts are 2:30 p.m.–11 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.–7 a.m. Working every other weekend is required. No experience is needed; training will be provided.

Requirements

Have acceptable English proficiency to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and employees, and respond to and communicate during emergency situations.
Have basic computer skills.
Be compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic, and helpful.
Be able to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
Be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Be able to solve practical problems and deal with variables in high-stress situations.
Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.
Work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

Assist residents as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
Follow the schedule of residents’ needs set by the supervisor.
Provide emotional and social support to residents.
Document assistance in a daily log.
Inform the supervisor of resident issues or concerns.
Respect and encourage residents’ independence and dignity.
Maintain residents’ confidentiality.
