About The Position

The Care Associate/PSS provides assistance to residents in the Assisted Living Program with activities of daily living, helping them maintain a quality of life, dignity, and independence. The role includes providing practical, emotional, and social support; following residents’ needs as scheduled by a supervisor; documenting assistance; and reporting resident issues or concerns. All shifts are available: 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m., and 10:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

Requirements

At least one year of experience working in senior care.
Sufficient English proficiency to perform job duties, communicate with the supervisor and other employees, and respond to and communicate during emergency situations.
Basic computer skills.
Compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic, and helpful demeanor.
Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Ability to solve practical problems and handle variables in high-stress situations.
Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and co-workers.

Nice To Haves

A CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on the state.

Responsibilities

Assist residents as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
Follow the schedule of residents’ needs set by the supervisor.
Provide emotional and social support to residents.
Document assistance in a daily log.
Inform the supervisor of resident issues or concerns.
Respect and encourage residents’ independence and dignity.
Respect residents’ confidentiality.
