About The Position

The Care Partner assists elders in an assisted living community with personal care, health monitoring, emotional support, meals, social and recreational activities, communication, and light housekeeping. The role involves helping residents with daily living activities and supporting their well-being while working with the Wellness Team, families, coworkers, and guests.

This is an AM shift from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on a rotating schedule of four days on and two days off.

Requirements

• Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
• Provide licensing documentation if required by the state.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Assist elders with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, including use of walkers and wheelchairs.
• Observe, document, and report changes in elders’ health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
• Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation and active listening.
• Assist elders with meals and feed those who need additional support.
• Support elders’ participation in social and recreational activities.
• Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
• Perform light housekeeping, including tidying and maintaining general cleanliness.
