About The Position

The PSR Float 2 travels to various clinic locations and or other clerical areas. Responsible for coordinating the scheduling of all surgical patients, verifying referrals and obtaining authorization for surgeries, tests, and outpatient clinic visits, data collections, documentation, and processing within appropriate time frames. Works under the supervision of a physician or licensed staff person. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience (healthcare experience preferred)
  • Minimum one year of medical office experience with Receptionist vocational training required
  • All activities must be conducted in a confidential, professional, and personable manner
  • Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality
  • Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position
  • Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others
  • Able to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure
  • Able to collaborate and accept direction
  • Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone
  • Able to think critically
  • Able to manage multiple assignments effectively

  • Requires and must maintain valid California driver's license, auto liability insurance and a good driving record
