About The Position

This is a part-time position at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church - Marietta, GA. The role involves managing inventory, building vendor relationships, assisting with store operations, marketing, and customer engagement. A key aspect of the role is to provide excellent customer service and minister to customers within the Provision Café & Bookstore.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of social media advertising.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously.
  • Works flexibly with a variety of personalities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 or more pounds.
  • Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Physically able to work inside and outside in various weather conditions.
  • Flexibility to work weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Inputting new inventory into the system and updating the director of reorder opportunities.
  • Establishing and building key relationships with vendors to identify items in line with the vision of the store.
  • Assisting with store merchandise seasonal flips.
  • Creating and maintaining systems to determine actions steps regarding existing inventory, including proper displays, pricing, and order processing.
  • Collaborating with Communications on effective marketing and advertising opportunities for Provision Café & Bookstore.
  • Navigating and understanding the point of sale system for internal inventory and external customer needs.
  • Establishing systems to forecast trends based on past customer feedback and future customer needs.
  • Maintaining a healthy presence within Provision Café & Bookstore, regularly engaging to meet customers’ needs and minister to them.
  • Gaining and maintaining knowledge of all products sold in the store.
  • Performing social media responsibilities.
  • Tracking store supplies and ordering/replenishing as needed.
  • Learning how to emboss bibles and assisting during busy times of the year.
  • Supporting the Senior Pastor and all other church staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
