Requirements

  • Licensed to practise medicine in BC
  • Strong familiarity with the BC healthcare system, workflows, and physician community
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving digital health environment
  • Maintain professionalism as outlined by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the BC medical landscape and virtual care environment
  • Maintain clear records of recommendations and decisions
  • Handle all confidential company and patient information with discretion

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in medical leadership, administration, or business is an asset
  • Knowledge of Rocket Doctor’s EMR, platform extensions, and applicable privacy regulations in Canada and the United States (HIPAA, PHIPA, PIPEDA) is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Grow and Strengthen BC’s Physician Presence by supporting recruitment, onboarding, and retention of BC physicians.
  • Build a strong provincial physician community and encourage ongoing clinical engagement.
  • Support Provincial Operations & Quality by investigating and responding to concerns related to BC care.
  • Review and refine clinical workflows specific to BC to improve efficiency, compliance, and physician ease of practice.
  • Maintain close communication with practicing BC physicians, including active presence on Slack and participation in local meetings.
  • Serve as a clinical leader supporting the growth of BC’s virtual care presence.
  • Liaise with BC health authorities, organizations, and partners as appropriate.
  • Provide input on BC-specific product needs, regulatory considerations, and physician experience improvements.
  • Attend and contribute to MD Advisory meetings.
  • Support initial onboarding of new physicians across provinces as needed.
  • Partner with the product and operations teams on improvement initiatives.
  • Provide troubleshooting support on emerging physician issues across all provinces.
  • Assist with communications and strategic updates for physicians and Rocket Doctor staff.
  • Help coordinate physician meetings and engagement events across Canada.
