This reporter position requires an incredible breadth of knowledge about all things government: the Legislature, policy, political history, key players and an overall expertise in issues affecting Islanders. The successful person will have the drive, understanding of procedure and process of the P.E.I Legislature. The successful candidate will be a key member of CBC P.E.I.’s newsroom with a keen news sense, superior editorial judgement and excellent initiative. As the Provincial Affairs Reporter, you will be responsible for providing daily coverage of agenda items at Province House, while also searching out and producing impactful enterprise stories that tell the story of Islanders and the province’s diverse communities. You are experienced at reporting for multiple platforms and are comfortable working in radio, television, and digital.
