About The Position

The Provider Support (CMA/LPN) works in the Clinic department and supports providers in patient care. Responsibilities include rooming patients and prenatal visits, assisting providers with procedures and treatments, administering injections, communicating by phone, educating patients, taking vital signs, documenting in charts, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and managing supplies. The position is 64 hours per pay period and is non-exempt.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse program.
• Certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants or an unrestricted Minnesota Licensed Practical Nurse license.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, verbally and in writing, with clients of all ages, coworkers, practitioners, and administration.
• Professional telephone etiquette.
• Positive attitude.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Good organizational skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Good time management skills.
• Computer skills and knowledge of EMR.

Nice To Haves

• Previous clinic nursing experience preferred.
