About The Position

The Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supports clinic operations by managing patient flow and assisting healthcare providers with patient care for individuals of all ages. The position combines clinical and administrative tasks, patient communication, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant candidates must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant candidates must have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program (ABHES/CAAHEP) or a qualifying RMA program with required experience and certification documentation.
• Medical Assistant and LPN candidates must have current BLS certification.
• LPN candidates must have an active Minnesota Practical Nurse (PN) license verified through Nursys at submission.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, record information, and support clinic workflow.
• Administer immunizations, injections, and medications as directed by providers.
• Collect specimens, perform phlebotomy, and conduct laboratory tests as needed.
• Provide telephone support, assist with prescription refills, and coordinate communication between patients and providers.
• Support front-desk check-in, inventory management, and prior authorizations.
• Perform X-ray duties if qualified and authorized.
