About The Position

This role focuses on establishing and managing relationships with health systems and physician groups, guiding them through the process of utilizing an Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) system to recover revenue lost from under-filed claims. The core of the role involves demonstrating the financial benefit of the service to hospital CFOs and revenue cycle VPs, navigating complex hospital procurement processes, and expanding existing accounts. The company, Recourse, is building an intelligent system to streamline the manual and resource-intensive IDR process, which is crucial for providers to claim billions in healthcare payments under the No Surprises Act. The role requires a consultative approach, comfort with data analysis to build business cases, and an understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle and procurement landscape.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in enterprise healthcare sales, business development, or partnerships.
  • A track record closing six-figure ARR deals with 6 to 12 month cycles.
  • Direct experience selling to health systems, hospitals, or large physician groups.
  • Personal experience navigating and surviving hospital procurement processes.
  • Comfort with data and analytical tools; ability to build own business cases.
  • Clear written communication skills.
  • Preference for small teams and early-stage environments.
  • Sound judgment, commercial instinct, and ownership mindset.
  • Grit.

Nice To Haves

  • Revenue cycle, claims, payer contracting, or No Surprises Act exposure.
  • Experience using AI tools for research and preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Own new health system and physician group relationships from first contact through signature and expansion.
  • Run the full cycle: qualification, discovery, business case, procurement, and close.
  • Build the opportunity analysis for each prospect using public CMS data.
  • Navigate enterprise procurement: technical review, security assessment, BAA, MSA, and committee approval.
  • Expand existing accounts from one facility to many, and from one service line to several.
  • Own a number: Pipeline, closed ARR, and the health of the relationships after signature.
  • Feed market insights back into product development.
  • Help shape the company's market positioning as the category matures.
