About The Position

The Protective Services Operations Manager is responsible for managing designated operational functions within the protective services program, including fleet management, personnel scheduling, equipment accountability, and security infrastructure coordination. This role exercises independent judgment in resource allocation, compliance oversight, personnel deployment, and operational decision-making within assigned areas of responsibility. This position is full time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. This will be weeks of paid on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 8+ years of experience in protective services, executive protection, military, law enforcement, OR related field
  • Experience managing logistics, equipment accountability, fleet operations, OR operational scheduling
  • Provide sound decision-making ability and sound judgment in dynamic environments
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to controlled equipment and security operations
  • Ability to travel up to 10%25 of the time (domestic)

Responsibilities

  • Manage protective services vehicle fleet operations, including maintenance planning, inspections, readiness standards, and lifecycle coordination
  • Establish and enforce fleet usage policies and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate external service providers and monitor vendor performance
  • Maintain operational documentation and regulatory compliance records
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and internal policy related to firearms handling and storage
  • Partner with vendors to support maintenance scheduling and equipment lifecycle tracking
  • Maintain certification and qualification records to ensure personnel readiness and audit preparedness
  • Develop and manage staffing schedules to meet operational coverage requirements
  • Allocate personnel based on risk, travel, and mission needs
  • Monitor staffing efficiency and make real-time adjustments as required
  • Provide recommendations regarding workforce planning and coverage models
  • Oversee coordination of security systems including cameras, alarms, and access control
  • Serve as operational liaison for technology and infrastructure vendors
  • Monitor system performance and direct corrective actions when necessary
  • Establish and maintain standardized procedures governing the intake, review, and distribution of physical materials within the protective services program
  • Manage contracts and service providers related to assigned operational areas
  • Participate in budget planning within scope of responsibility
  • Maintain required reporting, compliance records, and operational documentation
  • Provide direct oversight of assigned personnel and contractors
  • Direct day-to-day tasking and deployment decisions
  • Make recommendations regarding hiring, discipline, and performance management
