About The Position

Protection Specialists may monitor and maintain physical security systems, including alarms and surveillance cameras. They may inspect equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and take necessary steps to repair or replace broken or damaged equipment. The role also involves visitor assistance, access control, surveillance, protection of property, incident response and reporting, and coordination of security measures.

Responsibilities

• Greet, check in, and direct visitors.
• Enforce access control and ensure that only authorized personnel enter the building.
• Monitor operational procedures.
• Maintain constant surveillance of assigned areas.
• Protect property from theft, accidents, fire, and other threats.
• Provide customer service to visitors and/or guests.
• Write accident and incident reports about suspicious activities or safety hazards.
• Respond to calls for assistance.
• Check bags and packages as needed.
• Conduct security audits of company facilities and equipment to identify potential weaknesses in security measures.
• Coordinate security measures with departments such as human resources or IT to ensure policies are implemented effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
