About The Position

The Asset Protection Specialist is responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store or stores. The role uses tools and procedures to minimize company losses, including identifying theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV footage and exception reports, monitoring physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and promoting a shrink-elimination culture. The specialist prepares accurate, detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserves evidence, interacts with law enforcement, and may testify in criminal and civil court actions. They report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carry out their responsibilities in ways that minimize injury risks to themselves and others. The role requires integrity, responsiveness to associates' asset protection and operational concerns, and focus on store-specific business objectives.
