About The Position

The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store or multiple stores. The role uses tools to minimize company loss, including identifying theft and fraud incidents, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and promoting a shrink-elimination culture. The specialist also prepares accurate, detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserves evidence, interacts with law enforcement, and testifies in criminal and civil court actions. The specialist reports hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and performs responsibilities in a way that minimizes injury risks to themselves and others. They demonstrate integrity, respond to associates’ asset protection and operational concerns, and stay focused on store-specific business objectives while supporting asset protection and operational responsibilities.

Responsibilities
