The Protection Officer maintains the security and safety of the hospital, particularly at the assigned post during the officer’s watch. Officers monitor for suspicious activities and individuals, take appropriate action to protect hospital safety and security, and write neat, legible reports. Although officers are generally assigned to one shift, they must be available to work any of the three shifts when needed. The role requires performing essential functions, including daily patrols, without bias or discrimination. This is a full-time evening-shift position at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland. The scheduled shift is 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., consisting of four 10-hour shifts.
