About The Position

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Per Diem Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist to join their Pediatric Orthotics and Prosthetics team. This role involves fabricating orthoses for inpatients and outpatients, fitting patients with appropriate orthoses, and acting as a resource for staff. Requirements

• 1 year Orthotist, certified
• 1 year Prosthetics
• American Board for Certification and Prosthetics Board for Orthotist/Prosthetist Certification (BOC)

Responsibilities

• Fabricate specific orthoses and prostheses for inpatients and outpatients utilizing a variety of technical skills and knowledge
• Provide appropriate direct patient care in a clinical setting under direction of the Orthotics/Prosthetics Manager and within established procedures
• Performs a variety of administrative and operational support functions for department and according to patient needs
• Expectations regarding policies and procedures of department, hospital and professional interaction
