About The Position

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced prosecutor to review and prepare cases for presentation to the Grand Jury. The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office is the third-largest prosecution agency in the country. Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited and American Bar Association (ABA) approved law school
• Three years of experience as an attorney practicing criminal law or six years of experience as an attorney practicing in any other area
• Must be admitted to practice law and be in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona by the time of hire
• Valid Arizona driver’s license upon hire

Nice To Haves

• Prosecutor experience in Arizona
• Experience presenting cases to a Grand Jury
• May require overtime availability to respond to after-hour inquiries

Responsibilities

• Represent the State before the Grand Jury
• Review and prepare cases for presentation to the Grand Jury
• Work with and prepare law enforcement witnesses for testimony in front of a Grand Jury
• Answer legal questions asked by Grand Jurors
• Assist with reviewing cases to make charging decisions
• Comply with all rules regulating professional responsibility
• Cover court and other duties as assigned
