About The Position
You will be the Propulsion Integration Engineer for the Propulsion Team which is responsible for advancing propulsion system capabilities across Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. As a Propulsion Integration Engineer you will be responsible for leading and coordinating technical analysis, modeling, testing, and integration of propulsion systems with the aircraft.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or equivalent engineering discipline, equivalent experience and combined education considered
- Experience in gas turbine integration and/or analysis
- Matlab or Simulink software packages
- MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
- Selected candidate must possess an active Interim Secret clearance to start.
Nice To Haves
- Proficient in NPSS, Python, C++, or similar languages
- Experience interfacing with customers and suppliers
- Experience leading and interfacing with other functional teams
- A good understanding of thermodynamics and jet propulsion fundamentals
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, testing, and validation of new propulsion systems.
- Develop and refine propulsion system interfaces.
- Coordinate with cross functional design teams.
- Support program travel and collaborate with engine manufacturers and external partners.
