About The Position
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and verification of the F35 Engine Core Upgrade (ECU) and the Power Thermal Management System (PTMS) Update along with continued support of baseline fielded Propulsion and PTMS. As a PTMS/Propulsion Software Engineer Sr, you will be responsible for support of PTMS/Propulsion through its entire lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related STEM discipline
- 3+ years professional experience working as a Software Engineer
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink scripting and modeling and C, C++, C# or a related language
- Experience with software requirements development
- Experience with software/hardware integration and testing
- MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain an Secret clearance to start.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative, and team-based environment
- Problem solving software and hardware issues, inquisitive, analytical, detail-oriented, problem-solver
- Analytical and methodical individual who enjoys troubleshooting complex technical issues.

Responsibilities
- Develop functional and physical architecture definitions
- Develop and maintain detailed software requirements
- Develop and test required hardware/software integration tests within a lab environment.
- Develop models of the system in order to test software fixes with real aircraft data
- Collaborate with cross functional engineers to troubleshoot systemic issues as well as aircraft faults.
- Query fleet data and use data analytics to establish system level requirements based on fleet utilization.
