About The Position

The Propulsion Base Software Low-Level Driver Engineer designs, develops, integrates, and validates low-level driver software for propulsion and electrified powertrain control modules. The role covers embedded driver development from requirements analysis and architecture through coding, integration, and verification. It includes implementing hardware interfaces, developing MCAL and complex device drivers, configuring AUTOSAR Basic Software, and integrating software with hardware on new controller platforms. The engineer works with hardware schematics, device reference manuals, and microcontroller documentation to support hardware-software integration and ECU bring-up. The role also involves debugging and troubleshooting with embedded and hardware tools, optimizing drivers for real-time performance and efficient memory use, and collaborating with hardware, systems, controls, and supplier teams. The position supports AUTOSAR architecture and RTE integration, design and code reviews, technical documentation, software verification and validation, compliance with automotive development standards, continuous process improvement, and vehicle program milestones and production releases.
