About The Position

We are seeking an Owner-Operator with tractor-trailer experience for city operations. This role involves local and highway driving, with approximately 80% of the time spent in city driving and 20% on the highway. The driver will be responsible for loads within Quebec City and surrounding areas. Start times are typically 10:00 AM, Monday to Friday, but may vary based on freight volumes. Occasional overnight stays in the truck may be required. The driver will also be responsible for assisting with loading and unloading.

Requirements

• Owner-Operator with 24 months of tractor-trailer experience.
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing, comprehension).
• Experience with CP Rail and containers.
• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lb.
• Tractor must be equipped with a DEF system.
• Valid Class 1/AZ license.
• Reliable, flexible, and punctual.
• Strong communication skills.
• Values safety.
• Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer for city and highway driving.
• Complete loads within Quebec City and surrounding areas.
• Assist with loading and unloading of freight.
• Occasionally sleep in the truck overnight.
• Haul all commodities, including meat and alcohol.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
