About The Position

We are seeking an Owner-Operator with tractor-trailer experience for city driving, primarily within Quebec City and surrounding areas. This role involves approximately 80% city driving and 20% highway driving, with a schedule from Friday to Tuesday, starting at 0700. Start times may vary based on freight volumes. The driver may occasionally be required to sleep in their truck overnight and will be responsible for assisting with loading and unloading.

Requirements

• Owner-Operator with 24 months of tractor-trailer experience.
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing, comprehension).
• Experience with CP Rail and containers.
• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lb.
• Tractor must be equipped with a DEF system.
• Valid Class 1/AZ license.
• Reliable, flexible, and punctual.
• Strong communication skills.
• Values safety.
• Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Perform city driving within Quebec City and surrounding areas.
• Assist with loading and unloading of freight.
• Haul all commodities, including meat and alcohol.
• Occasionally sleep in the truck overnight if required.
• Ensure compliance with safety values and regulations.
