We are seeking a Proposals Student, for our Solar District that is available for 4-16 months starting September 2026.

Requirements

  • Working towards a degree or diploma in a communications field.
  • Strong written communication and collaboration skills.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Works with a small team of Proposal Specialists on submission documents that may include: Expressions of Interest (EOI); Requests for Qualifications (RFQ); Requests for Proposal (RFP).
  • Assists with RFP review process including reviewing RFP requirements, development of proposal outline and timeline/assignments (Proposal Plan), and identifying questions, concerns and potential risks to inform the Strategic Visioning and proposal planning stage of the process.
  • Participates in the kick-off ‘Strategic Visioning’ and Proposal Planning session, ensuring that all key proposal stakeholders are represented.
  • Assists with researching key submission data necessary to create a submission document.
  • Assists with translating a proposal ‘Vision’ into a compelling proposal layout and graphic design working primarily in InDesign, and creating compelling graphics and visual communication strategies, including strategic image selection and/or acquisition.
  • Assists in the assembly and review of responses for compliance, accuracy and content, and coordinate/ participate in review sessions with teammates/ stakeholders to ensure the integrity of all documents and solutions.
  • Accurately proof, edit and reword text.
  • Other duties as required.

Benefits

  • The estimated hourly range for this role is $19.57- $28.88, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
