About The Position

The Proposal Marketing Manager serves as a liaison working with internal and external clients to research, plan, coordinate, manage, and develop content necessary to tell the Sellen story with authenticity, creativity, and integrity. The Proposal Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting company-wide marketing and business development efforts, primarily in the pursuit of new work through the submission of requests for qualifications, proposals, design-build submittals and interview efforts. This individual also develops project or department specific collateral, assisting with special events and outreach activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in marketing, journalism, communications or a related field) or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 5+ years of comparable experience in a marketing or communications role in A/E/C or B2B professional services field.
  • 2+ years' proposal experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading successful project pursuits.
  • Knowledge of graphic design and layout.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Developed talent for translating highly technical information into clear, concise written communications, and for producing multi-page documents that are thoughtful, organized, and easy to read.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Self-motivated to initiate activities and communication.
  • Strong client-facing business development skills and excellent client relationship ownership.
  • Able to attend industry events comfortably.
  • Advanced writing and technical editing skills.
  • Communicates comfortably and effectively with new and diverse groups of people.
  • Demonstrated ownership of all assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Research, plan, coordinate, manage, and develop content for RFQs, proposals, design-build submittals, and interview efforts.
  • Support company-wide marketing and business development efforts.
  • Develop project or department specific collateral.
  • Assist with special events and outreach activities.
  • Participate in collaborative project teams and coordinate deliverables & deadlines with clients and consultants.
  • Perform a range of project and marketing duties using excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Work in a challenging, fast-paced, and energizing environment while consistently producing deliverables of exceptional quality.
  • Adhere to deadlines while working on multiple diverse projects.
