About The Position

The Property Placement Consultant will collaborate with the Service Team to manage and oversee the insurance placement process for new business and renewal accounts. This role involves acting as the primary contact with the Service Team, reviewing submissions to the insurance market, facilitating strategy calls, negotiating coverage, terms, and pricing, and reviewing exposures, forms, terms, and conditions. The consultant will also provide quote comparisons, generate proposals, create schematics for programs, and finalize bind orders. Proficiency in agency management systems, ongoing communication, and teamwork are essential. The role requires technical expertise in analyzing insurance quotes, negotiating with markets, designing insurance programs, and identifying coverage gaps. Requirements

  • Must be licensed as a Texas P&C Agent or able to obtain Texas P&C license.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in middle market Business Insurance.
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively with little to no direction.
  • Proficient at Sagitta, ImageRight, Word, Excel, and current internet technologies.
  • Demonstrate proactive work style.
  • Ability to learn, analyze and comprehend various lines of insurance and communications.
  • Demonstrate ability to service clients effectively through problem solving, appropriate confidentiality, and exercising diplomacy, sensitivity and tactfulness.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the insurance placement process for assigned accounts.
  • Act as the primary contact with the Service Team during the insurance placement process.
  • Review submissions to the insurance market for accuracy and completeness.
  • Schedule and conduct strategy calls with the Service Team and/or Advisor.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation to the insurance market and follow up.
  • Negotiate coverage, terms, and pricing with the insurance market.
  • Review quoted exposures, forms, terms, and conditions.
  • Prepare and present quote comparisons and generate final proposals.
  • Create schematics for shared/layered programs.
  • Finalize and complete bind orders, reviewing binders and invoices.
  • Understand and document the placement process in the Agency Management System.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Service Team.
  • Act as a collaborative member of the Agency.
  • Attend Insurance Placement Team meetings.
  • Collaborate with producers/account managers on market strategy.
  • Communicate the status of the Insurance Placement process.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships within the insurance market.
  • Participate in carrier meetings.
  • Treat clients, prospects, and company employees with courtesy and respect.
  • Contribute to the development and education of colleagues.
  • Support other offices/regions as needed.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in analyzing insurance quotes and recommending terms and conditions.
  • Communicate and negotiate with insurance markets through strategy.
  • Pivot when faced with challenges.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of policy forms and endorsements.
  • Design insurance programs for clients based on defined needs.
  • Identify and address coverage gaps with account service teams and insurance markets.
  • Become a subject matter expert in areas of interest or technical capability.
