About The Position

The Property Manager is responsible for meeting operational and financial goals for an assigned apartment community. The role oversees personnel management, marketing, leasing, budgeting, fiscal management, and administration. It also involves managing leasing operations, maintaining occupancy, supervising maintenance staff, supporting resident satisfaction, inspecting the property, and coordinating with vendors for authorized projects.

Requirements

• Property management and leasing experience is essential; property management experience is also listed as preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills.
• Strong time-management, planning, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand contracts and documents typical to real estate management.
• Professional attire and demeanor.
• General knowledge of repair and apartment maintenance.
• Experience using property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or Yieldstar.

Nice To Haves

• Previous supervisory experience is favored.
• Understanding and working knowledge of affordable housing issues and programs is a plus.
• Section 8 experience is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the leasing office and maintain property occupancy.
• Ensure deposits and rental payments are collected on time.
• Supervise maintenance staff by delegating and reviewing work and maintaining deadlines.
• Develop and maintain marketing plans to support optimal occupancy.
• Provide friendly, informative customer service.
• Resolve resident issues and support resident satisfaction through all interactions.
• Inspect the property daily to ensure it meets company quality standards.
• Meet with outside vendors to obtain bids for authorized projects.
• Manage property objectives, including personnel management, leasing, budgeting, fiscal management, and administration.
