About The Position

The purpose of this position is to assist the manager and Corps officers in serving residents at the L.A. Silvercrest Senior Residence. This role involves various administrative and operational tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the residence and positive tenant relations.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing Housing
  • Ability to speak Korean / Spanish
  • Experience working with senior citizens
  • Repetitive motion of wrists, hands and fingers to operate computer and keyboard as well as telephone
  • Must have a valid CA Driver’s License
  • Must be able to clear MVR report and safety training
  • Driving test and clean MVR check
  • If working in vicinity of children a criminal background check is required with certification for Protect the Mission policies and procedures.
  • Must have genuine care for elderly individuals and a desire to make a difference.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic; must be able to complete tasks well

Responsibilities

  • Receive monthly postings to client ledger cards under the guidance of the Administrator/manager.
  • Discuss lease agreements with new tenants.
  • Answer the telephone and prepare invoice transmittals and vendors’ files.
  • Assist in apartment inspections.
  • Send letters to residents and post notices as required.
  • Take guest room reservations and ensure rooms are prepared for check-in and inspected after check-out.
  • Complete monthly statistics.
  • Maintain Residents’ files and purchase office and other supplies.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, answer phone and alarm as needed during weekends.
  • Oversee and maintain petty cash as a petty cash custodian.
  • Assist the Administrator in managing Tenant Relations, responding to requests for repairs and maintenance, understanding rent charges, lease issues, and other tenant concerns.
  • Supervise support staff in the daily operation of Silvercrest Property.
  • Supervise staff interaction with residents and vendors.
  • Provide records and reports as required by the Administrator in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Corps Officer.
