About The Position

Under the direction of the residence manager, the Assistant Residence Manager ensures the day-to-day implementation of the youth’s individual service plan. In addition, the Assistant Residence Manager provides daily communication, feedback and supervision to the program’s child care counselors.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Three years of supervisory experience
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record is required
  • Ability to use a computer and able to learn software programs
  • Ability to operate a fax, copier, scan, and other office equipment
  • Ability to speak, read and write fluently in the English language
  • Ability to write in the English language using correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.
  • Ability to drive agency vehicles
  • Ability to frequently lift 0-25 lbs., occasionally lift 25-50 lbs., and rarely lift over 50 lbs.
  • Ability to frequently push/pull 0-25 lbs. of force, occasionally push/pull 26-45 lbs. force, and rarely push/pull over 45 lbs.
  • Ability to sit 50-60% of the working day
  • Ability to stand 10-20% of the working day
  • Ability to walk 10-20% of the working day
  • Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to regularly stand; walk, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; talk and listen, and taste or smell

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision to all full-time, part-time, and per diem Direct Care Workers in the absence of the Residence Manager
  • Represent the Residence Manager at assigned meetings
  • Review and submit payroll sheets on a bi-weekly basis
  • Attend bi-weekly team conferences, intakes, and service-plan reviews
  • Responsible for monitoring daily logs, records of expenditures, clothing inventories and facility’s census
  • Monitor medication administration to ensure accuracy and compliance with agency standards
  • Perform all necessary activities assigned to further the agency’s mission
